01

The Challenge

A fintech platform at hyper-growth speed — engineering a financial operating system that had to handle everything, flawlessly, at once.

GiveCorporation (formerly Givebox) is a next-generation payments platform for ISOs, PayFacs, and platforms. As Director of Technology & Equity Partner, I inherited and scaled a distributed engineering organisation of 100+ people — engineers, designers, QA specialists, product managers, DevOps, data scientists, and compliance analysts.

The engineering challenge was not just technical complexity — it was organisational complexity at scale. Coordinating vertical teams across compliance, risk analysis, underwriting, mobile, web, cybersecurity, infrastructure, DevOps, performance, and innovation — all under a demanding roadmap with zero margin for delivery failures.

The goal: build a reliable, fraud-resistant, AI-augmented fintech platform — while instituting a programmatic delivery framework that could sustain velocity across 10+ vertical teams operating simultaneously.

02

The Approach

Engineering excellence at every layer.

Cross-Functional Leadership

Implemented full SCRUM ceremonies across UI/UX, Back-End, Front-End, QA, PM, Product, DevOps, and Data Science. Built a culture of accountability and high-velocity delivery through clear process ownership.

Platform Architecture

Drove the technical vision for the core payments infrastructure — white-label APIs, merchant onboarding flows, and multi-tenant architecture designed to scale across ISO and PayFac business models.

AI-Driven Automation

Integrated AI across critical workflows: automated merchant risk scoring, intelligent fraud signals, and predictive onboarding decisioning — reducing manual review overhead while improving accuracy.

Fraud Prevention

Designed layered fraud prevention logic combining rule-based systems with behavioural analytics, reducing fraudulent transaction rates while maintaining frictionless legitimate flows.

Data Science Layer

Worked closely with the Data Science team to productionise ML models for transaction monitoring, chargeback prediction, and merchant health scoring.

Delivery Discipline

Maintained sprint cadence and roadmap commitments despite aggressive timelines. Introduced QA automation gates and deployment guardrails that reduced release-blocking issues.

Delivery Rate

Delivered a production-grade fintech platform capable of handling thousands of merchants across multiple payment rails — on time and within scope, consistently, over a 4-year tenure. The platform achieved PCI DSS Level 1 v4.0 certification — the highest security standard in the payments industry.

The AI-augmented onboarding and fraud prevention systems became a core competitive differentiator, enabling GiveCorporation to expand its white-label business internationally. Lasting Dynamics is both a technology partner and an equity investor in GiveCorporation — reflecting a deep, long-term commitment to the platform's success.

“We couldn't have asked for a better partner and feel very fortunate to have found them. The team delivers tasks in two-week iterations, making them easy to gauge. They're adaptive to requests, and this makes them easy to work with and proves their competence. Overall, they serve as a true extension of our team.”
